Sacred Art
Hello! You’ll find a number of my recent and available paintings of sacred art oil paintings on this page.
Here is a painting of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help.” The version I painted is based on an icon painted between the 1300s - 1400s.
Far below is a little video for you to see the behind the scenes process of creating it. There is a novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Click this button to download it.
The Trinity - icon by Russian painter Andrei Rublev
The second oil painting I did was inspired by the Trinity icon by Rublev. This painting is currently on display at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Duluth, MN.
What is the Trinity icon?
The Trinity (Russian: Троица, Troitsa), also known as The Hospitality of Abraham, is a famous icon by Russian painter Andrei Rublev, created in the early 15th century.
The icon depicts the three angels who visited Abraham at the Oak of Mamre (Genesis 18:1–8). However, it’s rich in symbolism and is interpreted as a representation of the Holy Trinity. In Rublev’s time, the Holy Trinity symbolized spiritual unity, peace, harmony, mutual love, and humility.
Here is another picture of the Trinity painting, along with another icon painting called, “The Immaculate Conception.”
You can read about this fantastic Italian artist on this wikipedia article. Here is a small quote from the wikipedia article about the origins of the painting I used as inspiration
“The Immaculate Conception is a painting by Italian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696–1770). The painting was one of seven altarpieces commissioned in March 1767 from Tiepolo by King Charles III of Spain for the Church of Saint Pascual in Aranjuez, then under construction. This was originally an Alcantarine (Franciscan) monastery that was later assigned to the Conceptionist nuns.”

The Resurrection of the Dead
DANIEL 12:1
12 “At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time; but at that time your people shall be delivered, every one whose name shall be found written in the book.
“Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”
